The following are just a tiny few of the places that I have researched for Posy's cancer. There's tons of information out there. Look over as much as you can and be certain to Always Consider the Source, even if it's from a reputable looking organization.
Some of these sites include generic information that is GREAT to fill in with. Other sites include very technical information on specifics. Read and try to understand what you can. Remember there are lots of interactions between drugs and treatments. Always look over the side effects so that you can ask your doctor intelligent questions. (A simple one - almost all pain medication is binding. If you take vicodin for pain, should I also be considering a laxative? If so, what kind is best?)
Remember even though your doctor is the expert - You Are In Control of what happens to you and what you accept as a treatment regiment. So, ask lots of questions, get 2nd and 3rd opinions, and make an educated choice for yourself and your treatment regiment.
Also, remember that cancer is generally not curable. It is simply manageable so that we can hopefully live with it!
