Hi again,
Posy is eating pretty well. About 3/4 her normal amount, but it's good. The pain in her abdomen is pretty low today. Although she mentioned to me today that she feels as though the liquid has started to return. I told her that of coarse it is. We need to fix the plumbing and stop the leek first, then it will go down.
Dr. Bodkin (her oncologist) simply said that the CA-125 was a further indication that things needed to be inspected, but because it can indicate such a wide verity of maladies from nasty-bad to simple cysts, that it was not a very conclusive test to use for prognostication.
Originally, Dr. Bodkin (last week) suggested that he could help find a gynecological oncologist that Posy could see, but he and Dr. Morrow decided it would be better to first take the samples that happened last Friday.
I suspect that she should still see another oncologist as Dr. Bodkin's specialty is in hematology and lymphomas etc. But, we should wait for the results of the last biopsy before presenting incomplete information to another new doctor.
Hang in there. Posy is doing pretty well.
