Posy's Cancer Report
June 16, 2000

Hi Guys,

Here's the latest news on Posy.

We went to her first chemo yesterday. The doctor informed us before the treatment that there was no indication of colon cancer from either the colonoscopy (that didn't do well because of scare tissue from a previous hysterectomy they could only check a few inches rather than the entire colon.) or the barium enema x-rays. That's a good thing, because that means the doctor believes that Posy's cancer is limited to the peritoneal cancer only, in her abdomen, intestines and lung.

She started treatment yesterday. It was a long 6 hours for the administering of information, 4 previous drugs to help against allergic reactions and nausea, then the two chemo drugs of Taxol and Carboplatin. It was very tiring, but she got through it.

Posy would love to hear from you directly at: posy@snydersmart.org.

I'll keep you informed as time goes by.

Bob
